I love flamewars, even the less wanky ones of the lot. Flamewars more often than not exhibite racism, homophobia, as well as mind blowing stupidity.

User 1: "NIGGER!!!1"
User 2: "Actually, I'm a girl."
User 3: "omg u rsist sux0rz!!!"

WTF???
And at this point the mind goes kaboom. You know what they say, though, don't you? "fighting on the internet is like running in the spacial olypics. Even if you win, you're still retarded." And that about sums it up for me. Flamewars are still fun to read, though, just because of the drama they sprout. This is exactly why I lurk at rating communities and Fandom Wank.

________

And heh, on another subject, my mother: "Can you get me the new album of that singer I like, you know, Boy George?... wait no, that's not his name... Michael Jackson?.... George Michael! That's it!"
^_^ And it's funny because I use this same train of thought all the time.

________

I love email spam.
There are days when I don't get a thing sent to me, my inbox is completely empty beside the last few days LJ comments and the occasional funny things people send to me. It's like that bush thing rolling in the desert you always see in cartoons. I'm almost at the point of sending things to myself, just so I can hear IncrediMail's butler going all "message for you, madam".

And that's when I get a penis enlargement ad. Or a David "Guru of Love" DeAngelo newsletter. Or even a furries porn site invite. It doesn't matter. It means that there is someone out there who cares, even if it's just an internet spam robot.

Not to say that I don't usually delete these messages without so much as a second glace but, you know, it's the little things that count. If you're sad and alone and in need of a good laugh, or even a brian explosion... Spam has everything. ALL CAPS spam is my favorite kind. I usually can't get past the first sentence, and that's more than enough. "DEAR SIR, I KNOW THIS MAIL MAY COME AS SURPRISE TO YOU,SINCE WE DO NOT KNOW OURSELVES..." You don't know you yourself? WTF are you emailing me about my money, then? Go on a trip to India, South America or something, FIND YOURSELF, and then we'll talk. LOL.
_______

I've spent the last week at my sister's house babysitting her three girls (7, 2 and 3 months old) because it's Passover vacation and I've a big, read lettered SUCKER sign super glued to my forehead. Damn, am I glad to be home.

Anyway, Rom (the baby) is the scariest thing I've ever came across. I'm utterly terrified of her. Remember when I said that I can't carry down the stairs because of all the "what ifs"? Well, now that happens with the feeding, as well. Rom is a VERY restless baby, especially when she's eating. She always makes these gurgling sounds, and snorting sounds too because her nose is running a lot. But then a couple of days ago I was feeding and she was making her usually sounds when she suddenly goes totally STILL, her eyes wide open and she's not moving. I totally freaked and started screaming for my sister. I was sure I chocked her with the bottle, it was terrifying. Then my sister arrives and the baby's okay again - apparently, she just fell asleep with her eyes open (I do it all the time).

That's it, I am never having kids. Ever.

BTW, my sister's computer screen is way lighter than mine. I always brighten movie files at my computer, so I think that my screen is just initially darker than everyone else's. Taking a look at my journal, I discovered that my header LOOKS LIKE UTTER CRAP. It looks fine at my computer, but anyplace else it looks cut and all icky and eew. Why didn't anyone told me how horrible it was? Meh. At least most of my icons looked ok brighter.

Finally, here's a super sikrit message to the people on my Flist who are either in Europe or Asia: TURN ON MTV, RIGHT NOW! 90s weekend ahoy ;)

BTW....
